Join together with ELCA churches from around the country as we share God’s abundant love and grace through our service to others during the annual “God’s Work. Our Hands.” weekend.

Serving Near

These service projects all happen offsite at organizations located throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.

TAFT ELEMENTARY
Saturday, Septmeber 6th
9 am to 11 am

Create a new educational garden area for the students and staff of Taft Elementary by building garden boxes and moving items from the old garden area.

Work in the garden, help with construction, or organize materials as we serve Tikkun Farm and their mission to restore people, community, and creation. List Good Shepherd on the registration form.

FRIENDS OF FRENCH PARK

Remove invasive plants and care for restoration areas as we work to restore a local park. Note that worksites are in woods and off-trail on uneven surfaces.

Assemble basic hygiene kits to be stocked at the Taft Elementary Food Pantry and Shepherd’s Pantry.

Make clothing protectors for the residents of Graceworks. No sewing experience required, although volunteers will be using sharp scissors.

CARDS FOR CHESTERWOOD VILLAGE
August 31 - September 14

Brighten someone’s day at Chesterwood Village - a nearby retirement community - with a special cards. It could be a note or a picture; something that let’s them know they are loved and seen. This is a great take home project for people of all ages.
