Deer Park Youth At Riskis a program sponsored by Deer Park Township’s Community Cares Council which provides youth activities within our community and seeks to prevent the opportunity for gang related activities in the Deer Park area. Good Shepherd provides board and financial assistance, as well as direct volunteer participation.

Habitat for Humanity is a nationally recognized organization that builds homes for low- income families. Our efforts focus on building houses in Cincinnati’s inner city.  Good Shepherd has participated in the building of 17 houses and annually provides financial support. N.E.E.D.S. (Northeast Emergency Distribution Services) maintains a Food Bank and assists with the financial support of those in the need on an emergency basis in the surrounding communities.  Good Shepherd provides financial support, volunteers and supplies.

Kenwood Sacred Music Series was established by Good Shepherd as a means to invite residents of the Greater Cincinnati area to experience the gospel through organ concerts, international and national concerts, jazz singers and folk music. These events are provided free of charge at Good Shepherd. 

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is an inner city church whose ministry Good Shepherd supports with Christmas gifts, serving community dinners and Shop for Tots.  Shop for Tots is a program sponsored by Good Shepherd Senior High Youth. The youth raise funds to take children (kindergarten through fourth grade) Christmas shopping for family members.

Lutheran Campus Ministries serves the University of Cincinnati’s faculty and students. Good Shepherd pledged financial support for the purchase of a meeting place.

We Care Homes are residences for those who are developmentally challenged. Good Shepherd provides funds, volunteers, and Christmas gifts for a personal touch. Vacation Bible School serves as a role model for nurturing our own members and sharing the faith with non-members.

Piece Makers design and sew quilts which are distributed to various non-profit organizations.

Tanzania is home of Kahama Lutheran Church with which Good Shepherd has formed a partnership. The goal of the partnership is to learn and value the different ways we worship; the religious influence each church has on every day life; our cultures; the environments of the two countries; and how we celebrate our holidays.
