We encourage adults and children to attend both worship and Sunday School.  The 9:30 a.m. school is for ages 2 through adults, from September through May. During the Sunday School hour, students gather in like-age groups to learn and explore God's love for them and the world using Biblical stories.

Holy Communion Training provides instruction on the meaning and practices (ritual) of Holy Communion during the middle of the 4th grade school year during the Sunday School hour. Preparation for receiving Communion is led by lay teachers and Pastor Pat. Parents are asked to attend the class with their child.

Confirmation is a two year program for 7th and 8th graders. The program has four parts: Sunday School, 3 weekend retreats, monthly meetings, and parental instruction at home. Sunday School Confirmation classes study Old Testament and New Testment in prepartion for publicaly affirming their faith.

Senior High Sunday School is comprised of students in 9th - 12th grades. The class builds relationships through discussion and small group activities around topical issues related to faith and Bible. This class also functions as the weekly youth group meeting time for Senior High students at GSLC.

Tweens: Grades 4-6
Monthly activities are enjoyed by all, such as a game night/sleepover at the church and a summer trip to Conner Prairie or the Kentucky Horse Park. Scheduled throughout the year are service projects, such as serving dinner to Over-the-Rhine residents or planning dinner for residents and their families at the Ronald McDonald House. Tweens are also invited to go to Camp Lutheridge in North Carolina for a week in the summer.

Confirmation: Grades 7&8
The Confirmation program prepares the youth to publicaly affirm their faith at the end of the 8th grade. The program consists of regular Sunday School and Worship attendance, service to oters, retreats and workshops and social events. There is also an optional week-long trip to Lutherock/Lutheridge during the summer.

Senior High: Grades 9-12
Activities, in addition to the weekly Sunday School class, are planned by the youth monthly and include social events, service projects and fundraisers. Summer trps are taken year, such as the ELCA National Youth Gathering, a week at the beach or servant trips to various locations. Leadership opportunities for Senior High students exist in a large group or a small group environment.
