Good Shepherd helps support N.E.E.D.S. – The North East Emergency Distribution Service located at Kenwood Baptist Church and serving the Northeast Hamilton County area, through our Outreach budget and a number of volunteer workers.

N.E.E.D.S. is joining the Feinstein Challenge this year. This challenge was started 14 years ago by Rhode Island resident Alan Shawn Feinstein (pictured above) as a way to help fight hunger all over the country. Each year Mr. Feinstein divides $1 million among the agencies that feed hungry people in their communities. This challenge is only during the two months between March 1st and April 30th. Each can or box of food donated during that time counts as $1. The total of in-kind items donated and the dollars collected during those two months will be added together and counted as our part of the challenge.

If you would like to help us in this challenge, you can write a check to N.E.E.D.S. putting “Feinstein Challenge” in the memo line and send it to: N.E.E.D.S., 8341 Kenwood Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45236. You can also collect canned goods and other non-perishable food items during that time and donate it to N.E.E.D.S. to be counted in the challenge.
