Women's Renewal Weekend

(Christ Renews His Parish)

Renewal is an Opportunity for:

Reflection:  Break away from the noise of everyday life to hear and see the Lord at work in you and in others.
Focus:  Invite Christ to be the center of your life and discover the peace that follows when you make Him your top priority.
Worship:  Praise Christ and experience His forgiveness and love through scripture, prayer, music and communion.
Fellowship:  Meet with women from our church in a casual Christian atmosphere of listening and dialogue. Be a part of Good Shepherd’s Spirit-filled community.
Motivation:  Receive the spark that will set your ongoing study and prayer life in motion.

Reflections of Those Who Attended A Weekend:

“I turned down the first couple of invitations I received for Renewal Weekends – fear of the unknown, I guess.  When I finally ‘gave in,’ I was treated to a comfortable, well planned program during which I was able to interact with other women and increase my awareness of being a valued child of God, a member of a community of believers.”

“Renewal is a gift I gave myself in the midst of my hectic and ‘crazy-activity-filled-life.’  I had no idea what a great gift it would be!  Renewal meets you wherever you are on your faith walk and enhances your sense of belonging, both to God and to the caring and accepting community of Good Shepherd.”

Renewal

Renewal is a process designed to deepen our individual relationship with Christ, while also developing our congregational faith journey. Participants often experience a “spiritual awakening” (or reawakening) as they participate in “Renewal Weekends” and then join a team to give another weekend six months later.
