MISSION

The mission of the CFAM (Caring for All Members) Emergency Meals Team is to prepare and deliver full meals (entrée, vegetable, salad, bread and dessert) to a family or individual that is experiencing a critical life situation. Maybe someone in the family is hospitalized…maybe someone is critically ill, maybe a child has been injured in an accident. In any case, just getting the family fed becomes a hurdle. The Emergency Meals Team can help in times like these.

If you need emergency meals, or you know of another member family who may have need of emergency meals,   please call Pastor Pat at 891-1700, ext.  11.

Process And Scope Minimize
Pastor Pat will contact the team leader to arrange for meal preparation and delivery of meals to you. The team leader will call you to find out special food needs or allergies. One of the meal preparers on the team will contact you to determine the best day and time to deliver your meal. Typically, two meals will be delivered during the week.

Leadership Minimize
Arlene Wojcieszak is the Team Leader of the Emergency Meals Team (Judy Herrmann is co-leader in Arlene’s absence). Volunteers report to the leader if there are issues related to the meal service. Pastor Pat and her CFAM team, Meals Team leaders, volunteers and recipients conduct periodic reviews of the service.

The Call To Serve Minimize
Emergency meals are a simple yet profound kindness which many members can provide. To join the team to prepare and deliver emergency meals, please call Pastor Pat at 891-1700, ext 11.

Your commitment involves preparing meals once or twice during the year. Leaders have tips for meals and advice about keeping some ingredients and disposable containers in your pantry to facilitate meal preparation on short notice. What a blessing you can be for our brothers and sisters who are experiencing a life crisis and you will be heeding the call to service found in Galatians 6:2 to “Bear one another’s burdens and in this way fulfill the law of Christ”.
